Ekspedisjonsjenta Amy Mir om forsøket på K2 - engelsk foredrag

Expedition Girl Amy Mir on Her Attempt to Climb K2

Amy Mir, also known as Expedition Girl, will share the story of her attempt to climb K2 this summer.

The expedition did not reach the summit after a major avalanche struck Broad Peak on 30 July, tragically claiming several lives. The situation also affected expeditions on K2. Conditions in the area were challenging, and several K2 expeditions decided to call off further attempts around the same time that rescue operations were taking place on Broad Peak.

Amy Mir will talk about her attempt to climb K2, her experiences from the expedition, and her plans for a future attempt.

The event takes place at Stavanger Turistforening’s premises at Olav V’s gate 18 in Stavanger. The presentation starts at 12:00 AM
